Jau ar pirmajām nodaļām nevis notikumu secība, bet konkrētāk laika līnija un datumi pavisam neskaidra. Kā arī nesakarīgs mīlas trijstūris starp galveno tēlu Spenseru Koltu(Spencer Colt) Mišelu(Michella) un Hannu(Hannah). Papildus tam beigās divi no šiem mirst, un stāstījums pāriet pie cita tēla un to nevar just + neizteiksmīgi ļaunie tēli. Bet, kas no visa patika, bija īpašo spēju izskaidrojums un to saistība ar mitoloģiju.

Stāsts sākas ar Džordžu Talu(George Tull) pansionātā, kur vienīgais īstais viņa draugs ir O’Līrijas (O’Leary) kundze. Pagājusi vien nedēļa kopš slimības uzliesmojuma Ņujorkā, bet tā paspējusi ietekmēt jau visu pasauli.
Ļoti patika draudzība starp Džordžu(visai spēcīgs saviem gadiem) un O’Līriju, diemžēl beigas tādas skumīgas sanāk abiem + zombiju izskaidrojums un uzvedība šajā darbā ir ticama. Negatīvāk vērtēju tieši pašu sākumu, kurš ir visai palēns, kā arī stāstā kopumā daudz vairāk par pagātni(tuvu un tālu), un mazāk par pašreizējiem notikumiem. Jāpiebilst, ka pansionāta menedžeris Makgufrijs(McGuffrey), tika pie pelnīta gala.

Ļoti īss un arī pozitīvs stāsts, un varu piekrist aprakstā minētajam, ka stāsts dzejoļa veidā piesaista un uztur interesi, kā arī labas un krāsainas ilustrācijas. Vienīgais, kas vērtējams negatīvāk ir tas, ka Lūsija (Lucy) jāņtārpiņu Meiziju(Maisy) atlaida, paļaudamās vien uz mutiski dotu solījumu bez jebkāda rakstiska dokumenta.

Grāmata iesākas visai interesanti ar Garu telpu(arī pats grāmatas nosaukums), kuru tomēr turpmāk gandrīz nemaz netiek pieminēta. Sākumā tiekam iepazīstināti ar planētām cilvēku veidolā un Asambleju, kura deviņu biedru(burvji) sastāvā, kopā cīnās pret The Unseen jeb kā es nodēvēju Neredzamajiem. Bet tikai vēlāk tiek atklāts, ka šie Neredzamie ir citplanētieši un turklāt milzīga kukaiņa veidolā.
Kas brīžiem traucēja, bija neveiklās un nedaudz pat neticamas cīņas epizodes. Kā arī reizēm tika lietoti vietniekvārdi viņš/viņa bez skaidrības(man), par kuru tēlu iet runa.
Līdz galam neskaidrs palika arī fakti, kas īsti notiek ar cilvēku un viņa personību, kad viņš vai viņa ir kļuvis par jauno planētu. Šķiet atmiņas no iepriekšējā nāk līdzi. No planētām pozitīvāk vērtēju Marsa tēlu, bet Venusu mazāk, kā arī Deidalusu(Daedalus) no Asamlejas.

Saistoša ir ne vien pati grāmata, bet jau sākot ar ievadu/priekšvārdu. Un tā iespaidā arī mītisko un paranormālo ir vieglāk uztvert un pieņemt. Ja ņem katru nodaļu atsevišķi, tad tie bija gluži kā atsevišķi stāsti, kuriem vienlaicīgi arī vienojoši elementi. No tēliem labāk vērtējami Čibs(Chibb) un Emma, jo viens jau pašā sākumā gandrīz tiek noslaktēts(un tā arī ar citiem, bet neatgriezeniski) un otram arī neiet vieglāk. Toties sliktāk Džesa Lunesa(Jessa Luness) un Rorhams Nahs(Rorham Nach), kur viena vadījās pēc sagrozītas taisnīguma izjūtas, bet otrs nodarbojās ar nelegālu biznesu.
Grāmata kopumā un arī beigas ir tādas, ka turpinājums iederētos pat ļoti labi.

Sākotnēji, kad Tomijs(Tommy) un Vitnija(Whitney)(kuri patika vislabāk) ierodas nometnē, viņi uzreiz sadraudzējas ar otru dvīņu pāri, bet nav skaidrs, kas tad īsti ir tas ļaunais spēks, kam nāksies stāties pretī. Ir arī palīgi Ēriks(Erik), kurš vērtējams negatīvāk, un Mazais Džons(Little John). -> IT(ļaunais gars) visas grāmatas garumā parādās vien pa retam, bet brīdi, kad viņam tiek dots vārds, ir prieks lasīt pavisam atšķirīgu tēlu.
Pozitīvi vērtēju katras nodaļas sākumā esošo fragmentu no leģendas par Lielo Pūci(Great Owl) – Ērika iztulkots. Tas iedeva tādu kā tematu visai nodaļai.
Maksimālo vērtējumu nedodu, jo reizēm tieši vajadzīgajā brīdī notikumu gaita pavērsās par labu galvenajiem varoņiem.
