Grāmatas apraksts no Goodreads/Synopsis from Goodreads:

The secrets of the dead are in her hands.

The bones of three young women are unearthed in the basement of a Montreal pizza parlor, and forensic anthropologist Tempe Brennan has unsolved murder on her mind as she examines the shallowly buried remains. Coming up against a homicide cop who is convinced the dead have been entombed on the site for centuries, Tempe perseveres, even with her own relationship with Detective Andrew Ryan at a delicate turning point. In the lab, the clean, well-perserved bones offer few clues. But when Carbon 14 confirms her hunch that these were recent deaths despite the antique buttons found near the bodies, Tempe’s probing must produce answers quickly to stop a killer whose grisly handiwork has seen the light of day.

Grāmatas apraksts no Goodreads/Synopsis from Goodreads:

Santateresa, mazpilsēta tālajā Meksikā pie ASV robežas, ir vieta, kurā kā mežonīgā, vilinošā atvarā saplūst ļaudis no visas pasaules griezdamies un rotēdami, uzpeldēdami un grimdami, brīžiem aizrijoties savos sapņos, vēlmēs un iedomās: trīs literatūrkritiķi no Eiropas te mēģina atrast noslēpumainu vācu rakstnieku, jo kāds sacījis, ka viņš manīts Santateresā, afroamerikāņu reportieris no Ņujorkas ieradies rakstīt par boksa maču, nezināms slepkava (vai slepkavas) jau gadiem ilgi pilsētiņā un tās apkaimē nogalina meitenes un jaunas sievietes, veca vārdotāja redz dīvainas zīmes, iemīlējies šerifs auž tīklus, lai notvertu slepkavu, politiķi nemana neko, klusi, bet klātesoši ir arī narkobaroni, un dzīve aumaļām virst pāri malām. Dienvidamerikāņu kaislības, kuru saknes meklējamas tālajā Eiropā, veido brīnišķīgu fonu bagātīgajam žanru mikslim: detektīvromāns, literatūras un politikas vēsture, mīla un dēkas, karš un citi trakuma paveidi; krāšņa, lieliska un sulīga valoda.

The Brave and the Bold » The Brave and the Bold #55 – Revenge of the Robot Renegade released by DC Comics on September 1, 1964.

Urāna robota atriebības mēģinājums par to, ka profesors Doc Magnus nobijās no sava pirmā radītā robota un mēģināja viņu iznīcināt (un bija pārliecināts, ka izdevies), un tā vietā radījis labākus robotus no citiem metāliem. Drusku atgādināja Frankenšteinu, un ticamības moments diemžēl mazāks nekā citiem supervaroņu komiksu izdevumiem.

Grāmatas apraksts no Goodreads/Synopsis from Goodreads:

“Fans of TV’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation should be in heaven” (People) stepping into the world of forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan, star of Kathy Reichs’ electrifyingly authentic bestsellers.

A harrowing excavation unearths a chilling tragedy never laid to rest.

They are “the disappeared,” twenty-three massacre victims buried in a well in the Guatemalan village of Chupan Ya two decades ago. Leading a team of experts on a meticulous, heartbreaking dig, Tempe Brennan pieces together the violence of the past. But a fresh wave of terror begins when the horrific sounds of a fatal attack on two colleagues come in on a blood-chilling satellite call. Teaming up with Special Crimes Investigator Bartolomé Galiano and Montreal detective Andrew Ryan, Tempe quickly becomes enmeshed in the cases of four privileged young women who have vanished from Guatemala City — and finds herself caught in deadly territory where power, money, greed, and science converge.
